About The Session

In all the world, there is no magic convention like The Session, because:

We are professional magicians, and organize the convention with only the finest talent from a professional point of view.

We CAP ATTENDANCE at 130. It always sells out, and we turn people away. We do this so YOU get more face time with our performers, and more interaction with each other.

We hold unique events outside the standard lecture and show formats. We have specialty talks on important subjects like comedy, openers, closers, and technique, and we explore many points of view.

We have surprises. We have surprise guest of honors, surprise talent, and surprise events. We never discuss these before the convention, and they are always the big hit!

Attending The Session means coming to hang out with the world’s best sleight-of-hand magicians and participate in an event where the focus is on learning and sharing of techniques and ideas.

A convention for serious close-up magicians

We use the word “serious” not to suggest that The Session is just about finger-flinging card magic, but instead to tell you that The Session is different. If you’ve attended large conventions like the IBM or Blackpool you’ll understand that it’s difficult to really learn magic from large conventions.
